Dr. M. A. Poorna C. Piyathilaka, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Environmental Technology, Faculty of Technology, University of Colombo, Sri Lanka, is committed to sustainable environmental research and innovation. Her work focuses on waste management, pollution control, and the development of eco-friendly technologies for environmental conservation. She has led several interdisciplinary projects aimed at promoting sustainability through scientific solutions and community engagement. Dr. Piyathilaka’s efforts have been recognized through national awards and research grants for excellence in environmental science. She is also passionate about education and capacity building, mentoring students and advocating for sustainable practices at both local and national levels.
